Private GP and dental surgery launched in Colwyn Bay

A PRIVATE GP practice has been launched in a North Wales seaside town as the NHS struggles to deal with rising demand for services.

Health services from doctors’ surgeries to A&E departments are overstretched as an ageing population puts pressure on the NHS.

This has seen West End Health launch in Colwyn Bay. Founded by lifelong friends Aaron Ferguson and Andy Boyd, and Dr Trevor Ferguson, they say the Colwyn Bay-based service will provide the region’s first premium GP and preventative health membership.

West End Health is designed to provide unlimited GP access, same-day appointments, and comprehensive annual health and dental assessments, all without the need to travel to the big cities.

"We're bringing back what people miss and need most in healthcare: personal care, time and trust," said Aaron, managing director of West End Dental and one of the driving forces behind the project.
