Saharan dust plume and 'blood rain' heading our way

A GIANT dust plume of dust is sweeping towards Britain, whipped up by winds over the Sahara Desert.

Spain, Portugal and Italy are currently in the line of fire and the immense dust cloud was expected to reach Wales by last night.

As this fine red dust scatters sunlight, it could turns skies gold and orange, giving rise to fiery sunrises and sunsets. During the day, skies may appear hazy and red.
