BID TO EXTEND STATIONMASTER'S HOUSE ON HERITAGE RAILWAY

A VICTORIAN-ERA stationmaster's house on a world-famous heritage railway could be extended. Listed building consent is being sought to build a two storey extension at Minffordd Station House, part of the historic Ffestiniog Railway, near Penrhyndeudraeth.

An application has been submitted to Cyngor Gwynedd for permission to demolish the modern single storey extension and to erect a new two storey extension.

It notes the applicant as Paul Lewin (Ffestiniog Railway Company) through the agent Robert Chambers (Chambers Conservation).

The design, access and heritage impact statement was prepared on behalf of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.
