It's always nice to see two leggies in tandem

RASHID HAS FOUND PERFECT SPIN TWIN

ADIL RASHID says his legacy looks in safe hands with the emergence of teenage leg-spin talent Rehan Ahmed.

But that did not stop Rashid urging England's selectors to play both of them at the T20 World Cup in June.

The veteran slow bowler, who turns 36 in February, showed how he and Ahmed, 19, could be potent weapons for skipper Jos Buttler to deploy back here later in the year, taking 5-64 between them in the seriesopening defeat by West Indies on Tuesday.

And with Rashid insisting his young protege has all the "tricks, ability and confidence" to make it to the top, he believes a double leg-spin approach could be the key to a successful title defence.

"There's a lot of cricket yet to be played for myself and Reh but we're going to keep coming out trying to do our thing, try to the rest to the selectors," said Rashid.
