BRS Social Media Convenor and former REDCO Chairman Y. Satish Reddy has launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Telangana government, questioning whether its priorities lie with grain procurement or glamorous events.Addressing a press meet at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Satish Reddy criticised the government for allegedly spending Rs. 200 crore on hosting beauty pageants, while neglecting the state's distressed farmers who are reeling under the impact of un-seasonal rains and crop losses.

He drew a stark comparison between the previous BRS government's investment strategy and the current administration's spending choices. “The Formula E race organized during the BRS regime involved Rs. 40 crore in expenses but resulted in Rs. 700 crore in revenue and attracted thousands of crores in investments,” he said. “Yet, the Congress government, out of political spite, ensured that the event doesn't return to the state, fearing that it would boost the image of former minister K.T. Rama Rao.”
