Sir Jim Ratcliffe was free to make his comments and other people were free to call him out on his figures and loaded language.
If Chris Phillips wants to see a real example of threats to free speech and democracy, he has only to look across the Atlantic.

Fleet of ships to sail to the Arctic seas
KEIR Starmer said he will send a fleet of ships to the Arctic seas, yet all we had to shadow a Russian submarine in the Channel was a royal fleet auxiliary ship, essentially a supply ship.
So if we confront a Russian frigate, what will we do, throw tins of beans at it?
The man is deluded.
