THOUGH 'FITNESS' AND 'WELLNESS' MAY APPEAR SYNONYMOUS, THEY HAVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS.

Believe it or not, up until a few years ago wellness was a term not many people knew. It was used very rarely in regular lifestyle or fitness-related quotients. Fitness has always been the buzzword for not just physical but mental health.

Today, fitness and wellness are often used interchangeably. While they are intertwined, they represent distinct aspects of our overall health and well-being.

"Fitness and wellness are often taken as the same thing by people, but if you think consciously, fitness is about physical health, flexibility, and cardiovascular health, while wellness encompasses beyond the physical realm and includes a holistic approach to mental, emotional, social and even spiritual health," says Miten Kakaiya, Fitness and Wellness Coach at Miten Says Fitness.
