Do your duty but don't expect anything in return
Karma theory is rooted in Indian religions and philosophy like Hinduism and Buddhism. It believes that an individual's actions create consequences that influence his or her future. It is the theory of cause and effect - as you sow so shall you reap!
This is a very scientific theory, and affirms that good actions will lead to positive outcomes and bad actions will lead to their own consequences, impacting even future life through rebirth. Karma, therefore, provides a framework for moral behaviour, encouraging individuals to act in ways that will promote well-being and avoid actions that will cause harm. An individual is responsible for his/her actions and there is no attributing to events, external forces or fate.
Karma is also related to the intention behind the action. The seven laws of Karma that guide one's actions and equilibrium are associated with Lord Shiva.
Every action has a corresponding reaction.
Change is the only constant transformation which allows personal growth and evolution.
True freedom comes from releasing attachments.
Developing self-awareness and understanding one's true nature is the only way for spiritual liberation.
Destruction is necessary for creation.
Recognizing the interconnectedness of all things.
Acting with compassion fosters unity.
Hinduism and Buddhism categorised Karma into four main types, Sanchita, Prarabdha, Agami and Kriyamani.
