In 1967, at the height of her fame, one of America’s most beloved TV moms, June Lockhart, threw a Halloween party. At 42, she was starring as Maureen Robinson on CBS's popular sci-fi series Lost in Space and had already been acting for three decades. “The image of June Lockhart is as this sort of conservative, matronly [figure],” her co-star Bill Mumy once noted. But June, who turns 100 on June 25, laughs at the idea. “I love rock ’n’ roll!” she tells Closer. For that party, she booked a then-unknown band called Hour Glass. “They were fantastic,” she recalls. “These two brothers were very talented musicians who later changed their name to The Allman Brothers Band!”
