THE COUPLE HAVE A CLEAR VISION OF WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR THEM
The crowd broke into warm applause as King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace — but the noise became even more thunderous when Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children followed. The royal family had gathered on June 14 for the Trooping of the Colour, an event to celebrate the monarch’s birthday.
Charles won’t actually turn 77 until November, but the annual birthday parade has taken place every June since 1959. It’s a tradition everyone enjoys. “William and Kate relish the grand celebrations of Trooping the Colour and the enthusiastic crowds,” a royals insider says. “They enjoy the fanfare of this particular celebration.”
NEW & OLD TRADITIONS
In a break from tradition due to his ongoing cancer treatment, King Charles rode in a carriage with Queen Camilla to the parade instead of on horseback.
