STORIES UNHEARD - i, The Biker

|

August - September 2022

This has been the better half of xBhp's philosophy ever since its inception. It seems like a simple phrase that shows our love for motorcycling. It shows our pride in being a biker and it shows the happiness that being a biker brings us. But we have always seen it as something more. It has a much deeper meaning.

STORIES UNHEARD - i, The Biker

i, the Biker.

Just like life, this philosophy is a journey. It is not limited to us being bikers, but about why we are bikers, how we became bikers, and how being a biker helps define us. Motorcycles are important to us but more than them, it is motorcycling. And motorcycling is nothing without the rider or, as the philosophy states, a biker.

Another thing that we have lived by is biker above bike. We aim to show the importance of the biker and for that, we bring to you the real-life stories of bikers. We try to show you the human behind the biker, and how they have travelled the roads they have seen in the journey called life.

Bikers are peculiar creatures and therefore, difficult to understand. Once seen as mere hooligans and rebels, things have changed, how people perceive bikers has changed. We have done our bit to catalyze the process. Knowing that we also know that there is a lot more to be done and we intend to keep doing our bit.

In this bid of ours, we never forget to thank the people that help us in this pursuit of ours. The 'i, The Biker' project is another wheel in the machine called the xBhp Community, a machine made of all of you, all of us. This wheel will keep rolling. This time we bring to you the stories of three more riders that you will read about in the following few pages. And just like the promise we made last time, there will be more, because I, the Biker is more than just a phrase. It is a movement. It is an expression. It is an attitude.

Senegal

Senegal is best known for the Paris Dakar rally. But it has much more to that. Our brief sojourn in this country with the TVS Apache mo-torcycles showed us some amazing sights and history. The photo on this page shows a Baobab tree, which is also the national symbol of the country. They have thick water storing trunks and have immense size and long lifespans often reaching thousands of years.
