Hilda Fox, best known for her time trialling and support for riders, clubs, and affiliations in the North-West, has died at the age of 94.
Hilda Fox was a formidable racing cyclist in her day and still holds many Clarion records, gaining bronze in the 1958 100-mile Ladies National Championships behind Beryl Burton and Millie Robinson in a time of 4hr 46min, along with third place in the ladies BARR that year.
She was Dukinfield Cycling Club president for four years in the 1990s, as well as a member of Manchester Ladies Cycling Association, Rough Stuff Fellowship, and Stockport Clarion.
