The Third Wave Of Internet
Exhibit
|November 2018
The internet is the backbone of the modern economy.
The use of the vast networking system was just a figment of imagination at one point in history. But here we are living in a time when every industry relies on the internet. The idea of a wireless world was actually thought by the pioneer, Nikola Telsa but it took years of research and development for proper implementation of the internet. The credit goes to the innumerable scientists and developers who blindly followed their passion. But in order to move ahead and predict the future, it is imperative that we understand the waves of the internet and how the businesses of the world will be entirely interconnected because of the internet. Let’s delve deeper into the topic to get a better insight.
THE FIRST WAVE OF INTERNET
Can we imagine a world where the internet is not commercialised? No. We cannot. But after the inception of the internet, predominantly known as data networking, the internet was a toy of the military and scientist. Their usage of the internet- to share and preserve data in a secure manner and most importantly to preserve the data in case of a nuclear war. But with the interference and the rising interest of private businesses, the internet was commercialised around 1995. There was a rise in advertisements because of the growing businesses and keen interest of entrepreneurs in exploring new marketing strategies. Around the same time, the internet was a thing of the hardcore geeks and nerds. It was almost considered a hobby. People were reluctant to buy devices or even understand the concept of email when they could just call and get things done. The internet was a parallel universe waiting to be explored.
