How has Bollywood treated you so far?

I am extremely grateful and overwhelmed by the love and acceptance I have received in South Indian cinema. Bollywood felt comfortable from day 1 considering Hindi is my language. I’ve always wanted to do meaningful cinema in any language and I’ve been selective about my scripts, keeping a balance of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films. In totality, Indian cinema is in a great space and I’m very happy to be a part of it.

Do you think you were destined or movies?

Destiny, yes, contributes a lot towards making me what I am today. After having graduated in bachelors of mass media, i suddenly got an offer to act in a film. I was a little hesitant in the beginning since it wasn’t the planned choice of career. I thought I’d do one film and then pursue my MBA. After the first film, there was no looking back. I couldn’t have been happier and this reinforced my belief in destiny.
