The brave TV legend is thrilled as her beloved husband John reaches another milestone in his amazing recovery.

To be able to move just one finger doesn’t seem like such a big ask, but to Kerri-Anne and John Kennerley, it’s the miracle they’ve both been hoping for ever since a catastrophic fall 13 months ago left John trapped in a wheelchair.

Two weeks ago, the couple thrilled Australia when they appeared in public together for only the second time since the terrible accident – beaming with happiness as they were surrounded by well-wishers at a restaurant in Sydney.

“I’m so happy,” says the TV star and devoted wife, who didn’t stop smiling all night as she and John mingled with guests and happily posed for photographs, just like they used to do before their lives tragically changed forever.

“He can move one finger to operate his chair,” explains a friend of the couple. “But he can’t actually lift up that hand with the working finger without assistance,” he adds, saying even this small step forward is huge for Australia’s favourite couple.
