As Katie Holmes lovingly tossed her adorable little co-star in the air, the pair giggling with pure joy, it was clear the former Dawson’s Creek actress has finally found true happiness after years of heartache.

Katie’s trademark grin has become a fixture on her face once again and Woman’s Day can reveal it’s because she’s preparing to take the next step with her partner of five years, Jamie Foxx.

Not only are the couple planning a breathtakingly romantic wedding in Paris early in the new year, sources also tell us they’ve already started the adoption process, and are hoping to have a little one of their own by their side for when they say “I do”.

Spurred on by her close connection with her young co-star on the set of her new film The Secret in New Orleans, it’s believed Katie and Jamie are looking to adopt a daughter from a poverty-stricken area of Louisiana.
