Behind the scenes on this week’s explosive episode of Vanity Fair

- Emma Bullimore, Sean Marland

Mud And Muskets

DRAMA

Vanity Fair

Sunday, ITV HD, 9pm

You won’t want to miss Vanity Fair this week as Rawdon, George and Dobbin look death in the face when they arrive at the Battle of Waterloo. For viewers, it’s set to be a huge spectacle, with a generous budget poured into painstakingly bringing this major set piece to life.

Shot at Mapledurham Farm, near Reading, the scenes featured 400 extras and 50 horses. Filming this episode was a huge responsibility for the main actors and Charlie Rowe, who plays George Osborne, tells us that he undertook extensive riding lessons to look convincing.
