8 DAYS: You’re an American from New Jersey who moved to rural France for your husband’s job. Your show, Uprooted, looks at your life as an expiate living there. What is the reality of doing a food show like?
I spend at least three to five hours visiting local food producers like a duck farm or bison breeder to film only five minutes of the show. Initially it was hard for me ’cos I wanted to tell more of their stories, but I can’t include everything. After I’ve done my show, I watch TV very differently!
Did you experience any food culture shock there?
