Kubota Goes Big In North America

After announcing earlier this year that the company will launch a range of high-horsepow tractors for the North American market, Kubota recently unveiled the M8 Series, its largest tractor ever.

In March this year, the Kubota Corporation, headquartered in Japan, announced its decision to partner with Buhler Industries in Canada for the launch of a new series of large tractors in North America.

In a statement released by the company at the time, Kubota said it had chosen to take this direction with a view toward improving development lead time and optimising product specifications to meet local requirements.

In order to accelerate its large tractor business in the North American market, this new arrangement enabled Kubota to add tractors in a power range greater than that of its most powerful tractor to date, the 130kW French-built M7172.

The M8 Series was previewed by Kubota North America at the end of July, featuring two models, 140kW and 155kW, and “answers the call of forward- thinking farming”, the company said.
