On 10 December the Lensoviet Palace of Culture will be the venue for the first musical based on “Flea Market” — Billy’s Band’s most enigmatic, conceptual album. One dank, mist morning the main character meets a girl at a flea market and loses his head over her. From that moment, the past and present merge into a tangled mass and his life begins to resemble clips from old newsreels. The tragicomic story will be performed in the best traditions of dark cabaret: original choreography, garish costumes by Polina Raudson and live music by Billy’s Band. This ironic musical is just the cure for autumn depression.
