After seven decades of lighting up stage and screen, Academy Award-nominated actress June Squibb has built a full and meaningful life as a fan-favorite performer, wife and mother.
But June isn't one to look backward—or to slow down.
"I've constantly had my eye on the future, even as a kid," she tells Woman's World. "I still do that. I think of my life like, What's happening now? What's coming up?"
June launched her career in the iconic Broadway musical Gypsy in 1959 and has since appeared in dozens of memorable TV shows and blockbuster films including Meet Joe Black and Scent of a Woman. In 2024, at age 94, she landed her very first starring role in the film Thelma—and even performed her own stunts!

Catch June in Eleanor the Great!
June is starring as the title character in Eleanor the Great, which hits theaters Sept. 26. The filmwhich is Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut-follows Eleanor, a woman who returns to New York to live with her daughter after her best friend/roommate dies. "I'm more like Eleanor than most people know," says June.
