The Right Time to Think About Fertility.

For most women, fertility is typically something that comes to mind when they are ready to become pregnant. Before that, there is life, careers, relationships, etc. But what if I were to say that fertility is not just a future concern, rather it is also part of your health today?

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that fertility is a function of age. While it is true that age is a factor, indeed we lose egg count and quality as we get older but this is just a part of the picture. Fertility is influenced by many other factors such as hormonal health, dimensions of ovarian reserve, underlying health concerns such as PCOS or endometriosis, lifestyle, and stress. This is one example of how two women the same age can have different experiences with fertility.
