Influencers 2.0

Influencer culture has truly dominated the globe.

It has altered the definition of being an influencer. The era of achieving fame through a reality TV show, building a fanbase for a fleeting moment of recognition, or later starting a clothing brand before fading away is over. Now, if you aim to be an influencer, you need to work for it.

Picture yourself relaxing with stunning views of Vietnam's Bana lush hills, while a massive breakfast tray featuring a steaming cup of Vietnamese coffee sits beside you. The cherry on top - It's all totally free, just like your favourite Gen Z influencer would say. The very moment you hear, your alarm goes off. As you struggle to open your eyes due to the sleepiness, you realize that the chilly sensation you felt was just your pet stealing all the blankets. Well, Good morning to you as well!

Not Only Lipsticks And Food Vlogs

With changing times, not everyone dreams of lush hills, today users seem to feel a stronger sense of ownership over their feeds than previously.

imageIn other words, they prefer to engage with content they genuinely wish to see frequently instead of the newest contestant from Roadies or Celebrity Masterchef.

Watching such shows may partly result from a new generation of users adopting an "I can do that as well" attitude and with one in four Gen-Z individuals stating they intend to become influencer celebrities. Sometimes setting unrealistic goals.

There might be various reasons why many children are thinking in such a manner, but it might be due to the fact that our perception of what an influencer can do has entirely transformed.
