After first dating as teenagers and then reconnecting with the former champion swimmer years later, it's now being reported by The Sydney Morning Herald that Patrick Cogan is married to Lane.

Patrick was present in support of Lane during her 2010 trial and reportedly kept in constant communication with her via letters and prison visits over the years.
In 2019, the pair were said to be planning a wedding, according to prison insiders.
