WHIRLY WANDFLOWERS

If you need a pretty perennial to plug a gap in a border or adorn a pot, the wandflower (gaura) has tall, thin stems, grey-green leaves and delicate, starry flowers, fitting perfectly into an informal or cottage-style garden scheme. ‘Whirling Butterflies’ (90cm1.2m high) has masses of blooms that start white and fade to pink.
