Reeling from a public backlash and family struggles, it's been a tough time for the TV star

IS IT ALL OVER?

Just month ago, it seemed that telly’s new golden girl Stacey Solomon was unstoppable. With a series of hit shows, banking millions through lucrative TV and branding work, the mother of five’s place as the screen's new national treasure appeared secure.

But over the past few weeks, a series of fall-outs could have thrown Stacey's world into chaos. Now a source close to Stacey, 35, has told Woman’s Own that she is worried her perfect life is in danger of crumbling.

‘The last few weeks have been a nightmare for Stacey,’ the source said. ‘Normally everything she touches has turned to gold, but I think she feels the tide is turning against her. The pressure of being in the spotlight seems to be taking its toll. She’s never faced a backlash like this before and it’s really rattled her.’

Stacey and husband Joe Swash, who first met on the set of I’m a Celebrity in 2010, have recently given fans no-holds-barred access to their family life in reality TV show Stacey & Joe. The series saw them juggling hectic careers with parenting their children Rex, six, Rose, three, and Belle, two, as well as Stacey’s sons Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 13, from previous relationships.

But letting the cameras in seems to have exposed bumps in the marriage, including when Stacey shocked viewers by claiming that she and Joe were too busy to have sex for a year.
