TRAPPED!

Prince Harry may have returned to his freedom' in America, but there are signs that the embattled royal is more shackled than ever, writes Duncan Larcombe

TRAPPED!

Since leaving Britain, the Duke of Sussex’s profile has rocketed, he’s become a father for a second time, he has a luxury palace of his own, plus a king’s ransom in the bank, yet it seems he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Those who knew the prince from pre-Meghan days fear his appearance at the Queen’s funeral only confirmed their once-cheerful friend is trapped in a world of pain.

Far from seeing it as a reunion, they insist the experience of walking with the Prince of Wales and the King behind his grandmother’s coffin will have left Harry feeling isolated.

The ink hadn’t dried on Meghan’s latest attack on the ‘institution’ when news of Her Majesty’s rapid decline in health became clear.

And now that the dust has started to settle on the Queen’s passing, tensions between the warring brothers and their wives are clearly still running high.

In Harry’s case, the current sentiment toward the mother of his children seems to have turned increasingly vicious since the funeral ended.

While the narrative on Meghan has been arguably less positive in recent weeks, there is no denying that since the funeral it has stepped up a gear.

Not one of the mainstream commentators appears to have a good word to say about the woman they accuse of being the driving force behind Harry’s increased isolation.
