Scams may be on the rise, but we're determined to ensure we stay more alert than ever

Don't get CAUGHT OUT

There's most probably been a point at which all of us have been targeted by a scammer. Maybe you received a text message about a missed parcel delivery, or a job opportunity that sounded too good to be true. Or perhaps you answered a call from someone claiming to be from your internet service provider or bank, insisting you need to take urgent action or you could be at risk.

Whatever the attempted scam, we can all agree it's a stressful, unnerving situation to be in and in some cases, we only realise when it's too late and the damage has already been done.

Gone are the days when it was assumed only the elderly and vulnerable fell victim to fraud - these days, we are all a target. In fact, fraud victims are spread fairly evenly across the age cohorts - 18-24-year-olds make up 20% of victims, 35-44-year-olds 23%, and over-65s make up 18%.
