It's relatively simple to keep track of how many calories you have been eating, but do you know how many you are burning? The great news is that you don't need to have a gym membership or use any special equipment to use up calories - a short walk, some housework or even just relaxing can burn through a good amount too. Our experts share their top ways to stay trim.

'A 15-minute skipping session can burn anywhere from 200 to 300 calories, depending on your weight and how fast you go,' advises Nicole Prasad, a personal trainer*. So, attempt 8-10 minutes to quickly churn through cals.
Stand to watch TV
The easiest calorie-burning tip you'll ever get is simply stand instead of sit, says health coach Steve Bennett (healthresults.com). 'Whether you're watching telly, taking phone calls or reading, standing burns about 50 more calories per hour than sitting.' Aim to stand for two hours extra a day and burn 100 extra calories.
