IF you've been following our story over the years, you'll have learned Anne and I do daft things.

Of course, I would say that Anne does more than I do, but I'm certain she would dispute this.

On Sunday nights at Anne's farm, the family used to sit round the organ in the parlour.

Anne played hymns and they all sang.

There was no television in those days; you made your own entertainment.

We didn't have a piano when we first married. I suggested she buy one.

All she said was, "One day, perhaps, John, when we've more money."
