Kerre got the chills while sloping off for an afternoon with Bart
A great chat with the queen of talkback
Had I thought about it, the clue would have been in the name: Snow Planet. Snow is cold, wet stuff whether it falls naturally from the sky or whether it's manufactured in a huge warehouse-type facility so city folk can enjoy it without travelling hours to the mountain.
There was an even bigger clue in the notes for first-time visitors to Snow Planet on their website. It suggested merino underlayers, waterproof pants and jackets, and gloves and beanies to protect the extremities.
I took great care in packing my grandson Bart's bag, making sure he would be snug out on the snow. He'd really enjoyed a recent family trip to Ohakune, so I thought a half day at Snow Planet with a mate would be a perfect school holiday outing.
