PLOT AGAINST KING

Head-butting between the King and his brother the Duke of York over whether Andrew can stay in his Windsor home may be about more than bricks and mortar, reckons royal author Angela Levin.

The siblings have an ongoing power struggle that goes back to the 1990s, when Andrew, 63, instigated a plot to push Charles out of his position as heir to the throne, says Angela. She claims that while researching her book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort, a palace insider told her Andrew became convinced he would do a better job as monarch than his older brother. It's alleged Andrew had discussions with his wife Sarah, Duchess of York, and former sister-in-law Princess
