Kerre finally decided to lift the lid on a surgery she'd been avoiding
As the first injection went into my eyelid, an 'uh oh' moment came to mind, despite the lovely little pill that had coaxed me into a happy Zen state.
What if, I thought, as the second injection squirted local anaesthetic into my eyelid, my eyes are too swollen to write my Weekly column after my procedure? I should have written it earlier - there will be a blank space where my column should be!
I began to berate myself, but the lovely little pill proved to be more than a match for my guilty conscience. “Meh,” I thought dreamily, as the final injection went in, “it'll be fine. Thousands of people have blepharoplasties done every day.”
The eyelid lift I've been thinking about for a couple of years now was done and dusted in an hour, and thanks to the skill of my lovely surgeon, I swear I can see better now than I could before, even though my eyes are a bit swollen and bruised.
