You don't have to sweat it out in a gym to reach your fitness goals

We all know exercise is good for us. Not just for physical health, but for our mental health too. But knowing something is good for us and actually doing it are two very different things.
As we age, there are a few extra things to consider as we embark on any fitness regimen. As our oestrogen levels begin to drop during menopause, we become more aware of aches and pains, and many of us are living with weaker or prolapsed pelvic floor muscles, impacting our ability to move without discomfort or leakage.
Take it slow
Mish Wright is an exercise educator who specialises in women's health. She points out that a lot of exercise programmes take an “all or nothing” approach, which can be quite daunting, especially if you're not already in the habit of exercise.
