Climb every MOUNTAIN

The past few times I've travelled to the Bay of Plenty for work or for pleasure, I've stayed in Tauranga. Even when the event I'm emceeing is at Bay Park Stadium at Mount Maunganui, I've tended to stay in Tauranga because that's where the radio station is and that's where I have to report for duty early-ish in the morning.

This time, though, my lovely office manager Anne-Marie had booked me into a hotel at the Mount. I'd flown down from Auckland on the 2pm flight, so I arrived while there was still plenty of sunshine left in the day. I wanted to make the most of it.

I'd brought my exercise gear with me, so it was time to walk up the Mount. It took about 20 minutes to get to the base of Mauao from the hotel and I took a moment to stand on the beach to soak up the sea air.
