Explosive allegations about Prince Andrew bring more shame to the royal family

Yet another bombshell book about the royal family is causing upheaval in the House of Windsor – this one containing more shocking allegations about Prince Andrew.

It risks toppling the monarchy, according to its author, and royal experts say the family is having to depend on the power of the Prince and Princess of Wales to do crucial damage control.

William and Kate are on holiday at the moment with their children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, but will be keeping in touch with aides about the fallout caused by Andrew Lownie’s biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.

There’s talk that drastic action needs to be taken, thanks to claims in the biography about Andrew – and in particular his links with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – bringing further shame on the family.

His sex scandal is regarded as one of the worst things to happen to the royals in centuries, but William and Kate, both 43, may be able to negate some of that and foster support for the family thanks to their immense popularity.

They’re seen as the future of the monarchy and the key to strengthening the ancient institution with their plans to modernise it, so there will be no tolerance of the likes of Andrew, 65.
