My first international trip te Vietnam
Outlook Traveller
|December 2025 - January 2026
MY ADVENTURE BEGAN EVEN BEFORE I BOARDED the plane. At Delhi airport, I realised I had absolutely no clue how immigration worked. There I was, dragging my suitcase in confused circles, asking strangers for instructions, clutching my passport like it was an actual newborn. After spending far too long trying to "figure things out," I finally made it to the immigration counter—only for the process to take under five minutes. The officer even smiled at my exaggerated enthusiasm and asked, "First trip abroad?" I nodded like a child presented with a surprise sweet.

Touching down in Vietnam felt beautifully unreal. The air was thick and humid, the streets buzzing with mopeds, colours, smells, and sounds I couldn’t yet decode. From the calm beaches of Da Nang to Hoi An’s soft, lantern-lit glow, every stop tugged at my senses. I managed the entire trip myself—booking hotels with cute decor, buying a local SIM, mastering Grab like I'd been born to navigate Vietnamese roads.
