BenQ's W5700 held its ground for years and the W5800 really hit its stride. Now comes the W5850, which does not just replace it but fine-tunes almost everything that worked before. At a glance, it is familiar. Central projection lens, vertical louvres and a chassis that balances industrial with handsome. Look closer and you will spot upgrades, especially behind the glass. The W5850 uses a 16-element glass lens array with aspheric coating, replacing the 14-element setup on the W5800. This brings less distortion, better light transmission and sharpness that stays consistent across more of the image.
