SURVEY REVEALS STRONG CONSUMER INTEREST IN PAYING FOR APPLE INTELLIGENCE

A recent survey by investment firm Morgan Stanley has uncovered a striking trend: 80% of U.S. iPhone users are willing to pay for Apple Intelligence, the company's suite of artificial intelligence features, with an average price point of $9.11 per month.

SURVEY REVEALS STRONG CONSUMER INTEREST IN PAYING FOR APPLE INTELLIGENCE

Conducted in March 2025 with 3,300 respondents, including 1,400 iPhone owners, the survey highlights a growing enthusiasm for Apple's AI offerings despite their rocky debut and delayed features.

For Apple customers, tech enthusiasts, and industry analysts, this finding signals a potential shift in how users perceive and value Al-driven enhancements in their devices, within the $90 billion AI software market.

Apple Intelligence, launched in October 2024, has faced criticism for its limited functionality and postponed capabilities, such as advanced Siri features and onscreen awareness. Yet, the survey suggests consumers are drawn to its promise of seamless integration and privacy-focused design.

Nearly 42% of respondents said it's extremely or very important for their next iPhone to include Apple Intelligence, with 54% of those planning to upgrade within 12 months echoing this sentiment. The survey's results, which contrast with earlier skepticism about Al's value, point to a combination of brand loyalty, anticipation of future features, and a broader cultural embrace of AI as key drivers.

imageThe findings come amid economic challenges, with rising data center costs straining tech firms, yet Apple's $94.3 billion Q1 2025 revenue provides a strong foundation to expand its AI infrastructure.

As Microsoft warns of Al-driven scams and Tesla faces supply chain hurdles, Apple's ability to monetize Apple Intelligence could redefine its services strategy, offering a new revenue stream while navigating a competitive and regulated digital landscape. The survey's insights suggest a bright future for Apple's AI ambitions, even as the company works to deliver on its bold promises.
