It has moved away from Intel processors to its custom chips, revolutionizing the Mac. 2024 was the year of Apple Intelligence, but the company is only just scratching the surface of what’s to come.
MAJOR 2024 RELEASESBefore focusing on 2025, let’s recap Apple’s 2024 product launches, which set the stage for what will come. Apple has delivered several significant releases this year, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to refining its product lines and introducing new technologies. Apple’s Vision Pro was one of the standout releases of 2024. Launched in February, this augmented reality (AR) headset combines cutting-edge hardware with innovative software, positioning Apple as a leader in the AR and virtual reality (VR) space. Priced at $3,499, the Vision Pro is an ambitious and premium product for developers and early adopters, offering an immersive AR experience with features such as spatial computing and 3D environments. Despite initially being a niche product, Vision Pro sets the stage for future AR/VR devices. Its media consumption, productivity, and gaming capabilities are just the beginning. As Apple continues refining the Vision Pro over the next few years, we can expect future versions that are both more affordable and versatile, with improved features and performance.
In addition to the Vision Pro, 2024 saw the release of several key devices, including the iPhone 16 series, the M4-powered iMacs, MacBook Pros, and the new iPad Air and iPad Pro, all with significant upgrades. The iPhone 16 series, released in September 2024, introduced new models, such as the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, with significant performance boosts and enhanced cameras. This story is from the January 04, 2025 edition of Techlife News.
