Names like Shankar Jaikishan ruled from 1949 to the early 1970's. O P Nayyar, S D Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji and RD Burman shone in the 1960s to the 1980s. They were followed by Rajesh Roshan, Jatin Lalit and Nadeem Shravan.
