THE PHONE DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND DAILY CHALLENGES
Honor X9b boasts a sturdy design with a luxury-inspired circular camera module, certified five-star overall drop resistance for protection utilizing shock-absorbing cushioning technology against drops up to 1.5 meters. The unit we reviewed was Midnight Black with a plastic rear panel. Despite its hefty 5,800mAh battery, it remains sleek and lightweight at just 185 grams and 7.98mm thickness. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display delivers vibrant colors and a 120Hz refresh rate for an immersive viewing experience, complemented by wired earphones included in the box for audio.
Honor X9b is equipped with a triple camera setup with primary camera comprising a 108 megapixel sensor, a 5 megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor which is its centrepiece. While the 108 megapixel camera delivers acceptable images in good lighting, they may exhibit slight oversaturation and lack dynamic range, with portraits suffering from excessive smoothing and high-contrast skin tones. The 5 megapixel ultra-wide camera disappoints with faded colors, visible distortion and a limited field-of-view. , while the 2 megapixel macro sensor struggles with close-up shots, resulting in hazy images due to light blockage. Selfies from the 16MP front camera are satisfactory in daylight but may lack accurate skin tones, and low-light performance falls short compared to competitors.
