It impresses with solid performance, vibrant display, and excellent cameras quality

BALANCING STYLE AND PERFORMANCE
Honor has been expanding its presence in India with several new releases, including the Honor 200. Positioned in the mid-range, the device is priced at INR 39,998 for the 12GB + 512GB variant which we reviewed. With a focus on design and cameras, it aims to stand out in the competitive Indian market.
The Honor 200 boasts a sleek, stylish design with a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED curved display. Available in Moonlight White and Black, the phone’s wave design on the rear adds an attractive touch, though the camera module does cause it to wobble on flat surfaces. Weighing 187 grams and measuring 7.7mm thick, the phone feels comfortable in hand, although its plastic frame is a slight drawback. The lack of official IP rating and Gorilla Glass protection makes it more prone to damage, so a case is recommended.
The display is one of the phone is the highlight, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals even outdoors. Thus, the phone excels in delivering sharp, colorful images, with support for HDR10+ and Widevine L1. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and up to 12GB of RAM, the Honor 200performs well in everyday tasks and light gaming. While it handles most apps without issues, its benchmark scores reveal it’s slightly behind competitors.
Running on MagicOS 8.0 (based on Android 14), the software is feature-rich but includes a fair amount of bloatware. Some features, like Magic Portal, which allows seamless drag-and-drop functionality between apps, are genuinely useful, while others feel more gimmicky.
