We reviewed the fluorescent green solid-color shoe. The latest version in the NovaBlast series is a significant improvement over NovaBlast 3. It aims to combine good cushioning with a firm ride, enhancing that extra speed, making it not just a great training shoe but also suitable for full marathons. We put it to the test by running two back-to-back full marathons this month, and it lived up to expectations.

The fine balance Asics has struck with this shoe, making it suitable for races without compromising on cushioning, is remarkable. If you don’t want to spend extra money on carbon plate running shoes, this is a good compromise.

The upper of the shoe is breathable, thin, and comfortable. The lacing grips well, and the tongue of the shoe is thin yet firm. It works well for narrow to normal feet and neutral runners but is not suitable for those with even marginally wide toes. This shoe is lighter than most other Asics shoes, and the sole features the new FF Blast+ Eco midsole for good cushioning. The shoe also offers improved stability over previous versions and is more focused on delivering speed while gripping the road effectively.
