Still Wakes the Deep

The Chinese Room's nerve-jangling new horror game puts you on a North Sea oil rig that's being tormented by a mysterious creature. Sounds like a right laugh, dunnit?

When even a foul-mouthed W group of oil rig workers are utterly terrified, you know you're dealing with something pretty scary - and that's exactly what you get in this first-person horror game from the makers of 'walking simulators' such as the Bafta-winning Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.
You play as Caz McLeary, a Glaswegian electrician who's just taken a job on a remote platform in the North Sea. Things soon go pear-shaped when the drilling crew discover something monstrous, or perhaps alien, under the sea.
While you never see Caz's face, you can tell from his flailing arms that he's no action hero, so don't expect to be fighting whatever lurks in the shadows. It's more a case of finding things to throw to distract whatever's after you before making a break for it. If you're brave enough, you can then swing the camera around to see what's behind you.
