■ These aren't the flashiest headphones ever made, and the ear-cushions and headband aren't the plushest, but they're very comfortable to wear. And passive sound isolation is decent.

■ Here's the clever bit, though: a hidden compartment inside one ear-cup slides out to reveal a USB-C dongle. This allows the N9s to connect wirelessly to all kinds of sources without having to worry about Bluetooth pairing, with a 2.4GHz connection that delivers practically zero latency. The fact that it lives inside the 'phones makes it very hard to leave behind by accident.
