10 BEST GAMES YOU CAN PLAY ON XBOX GAME PASS

From blockbusters to indie darlings, these are the finest and freshest titles available on Microsoft's sub service
-
Now into its eighth year, Xbox Game Pass has come to define gaming in 2025 — even though Microsoft's consoles have been lagging behind the competition. That's really all down to the expansion of the subscription service, which is often referred to as 'the Netflix of games' (never mind that the streaming giant actually has its own gaming library).
It's not just available for Xbox or PC owners: with cloud gaming in more robust shape than ever, you can now stream the Game Pass library on your laptop, your phone, even straight from your telly, with LG being the most recent manufacturer to add the Xbox app to its smart televisions.
The service hasn't been without issues. Its library isn't exactly growing since games can leave as fast as they join, and you'll need to be paying for the highest Ultimate tier to access new day-one releases and have the option to stream them. But with the rising prices of consoles and games, having a wealth of titles to play for just a monthly sub remains excellent value.
And there have been some real bangers just this year alone, including smash hits from renowned developers as well as some surprise trailblazers. Here, then, are the 10 best 2025 Game Pass additions.
10 Atomfall Not just a British take on Fallout or STALKER, this first-person survival adventure is an alt-history of the 1957 Windscale incident. The aim is to figure out how to escape the Cumbrian zone that's been quarantined years after a nuclear disaster. Will you work with the game's various factions, or resort to cold-blooded murder to get what you want? Scrappy, freeform, and extremely Northern.
