The OLED race continues and Asus is winning it! The new Vivobook is built to purpose and is no-nonsense

Asus is on a mission to make OLED the next default standard of displays. While it used to be quite an expensive affair, as time goes by we’ve seen prices come down and the latest mid ranger from Asus starts at a cool ₨75K.

The big draw is obviously the Asus OLED display and it’s stunning. Its capped at 90Hz and offers up vibrant, punchy colours and crispness of a freshly made Pringles chip even though it’s just a FullHD affair. The brightness is rated at 550nits and while the glossy nature of the display might make it a bit of a pain to work outdoors, it still comes through.

Asus lists this laptop under the ‘Home’ category and we understand why. The Intel Core i5 1340P processor isn’t going to churn out the fastest 4K rendering times, neither is the Iris graphics going to run AAA games at mind-boggling levels. This configuration is made more for fun and some light work at best.
