Call the colour cops! Somebody's made a camera that isn't black.

Well spotted. It won't be long now before you can name all the colours of the rainbow without having to sing the song. As well as this natty Sunset Orange option there's also a booze-inspired Bordeaux Red, a classy Indigo Blue, a forest-ready Moss Green, a mushroomy Sepia Brown and an understated Stone Grey... but this is a serious bit of kit, so obviously you can still get it in stealthy black if you want. Made from weather-resistant magnesium alloy, it should feel as good to hold as it does to ogle.

But it's still just another retro camera,right?

That's exactly the kind of thing a complete philistine would say. This is Nikon's first full-frame mirrorless camera to go down the retro route, taking inspiration E from the FM2 film snapper that was launched in 1982, but the bits inside are as modern as it gets. The 24.5MP sensor is paired with an Expeed 7 image processor, and its feature set includes five-axis in-body image stabilisation, 3D tracking autofocus and rapid 30fps burst shooting.

Sounds like it doesn't know what it wants to be.
