'Affordable' isn't a word you'd ever use to describe a Leica camera, but this street snapper will put less of a dent in your bank balance than most

The design of the D-Lux 8 is pretty similar to its predecessor, with the same magnesium alloy construction and same basic dimensions, plus a new textured leatherette finish on the front. The new text-based interface is very easy to navigate and puts all the useful settings in easy reach.
The 3in touchscreen isn't the sharpest, and the lack of tilt feels like a misstep given Leica's status as a street photographer favourite, but it's bright and clear even on a sunny day. The OLED viewfinder has excellent contrast and colour.
